We never took a photo together.

Thus you will only ever live in my memory.

My fear of memory loss intensifies

I might lose you within them

I imagine us in a crowded place

Our love still anonymous to everyone around

And someone clicks and shares

I’d finally have a photo we’re both together

When my memory fails me and I stare at it

Even if I don’t remember you

I sense a warmth and a longing heartache

For someone I never knew
