Colonized Child is a nonlinear long autobiographical poem that jumps from random memories, feelings, displacements, loss, and falling in and out of love.
An excerpt of the poem that also appears in my short animation film My Wasteland:
When a colonized child loses herself
One who has relocated to 9 countries in 3 decades
There’s a danger of never finding herself again
The struggles submerge her entity under all that meaninglessness
Everything gets mingled once underneath meaninglessness
Nothingness finds a fruitful soil to spread its roots
Deeper than the unconscious
Sucking out oxygen, suffocating the chances of re-emergence
